Historic buildings to open during tourism festival

    A group of 2,032 historic buildings in Huangpu, Jing'an, Xuhui, Changning, Hongkou and Yangpu districts will be opened to visitors during the Shanghai Tourism Festival, which kicks off on September 14.

    This year, the festival will focus on deep integration of culture and tourism. A batch of high-quality activities featuring the Huangpu River waterfront and cruise tourism will be organized to enrich visitors' experience and enhance the festive atmosphere.

    Besides, a cultural innovation trading platform will also be launched during the festival to showcase innovative products.

    The tourism festival will also collaborate with the Shanghai Shopping Festival and the Shanghai Food Festival to jointly organize the Nanjing Road Happy Week, the Donghu Food Festival and music festivals.

    The Shanghai Shopping Festival will be held for one month from September 20 and will offer 10 shopping routes covering more than 2,000 enterprises and 20,000 commercial outlets across 16 districts.
